ICMRS Member Code of Conduct

ICMRS fosters the values of openness, honesty, tolerance, fairness and responsibility in their professional activities including research, reviews, presentations, education, mentorship, and volunteer activities. As a member of ICMRS, individuals commit to advancing the musculoskeletal research and beyond through integrity, trust and excellence in all aspects of their scientific careers.

The Code of Conduct is the obligations and expectations for our research society. Members shall adhere to institutional and international guidelines related to the ethical treatment of human subjects, animal welfare and research safety. ICMRS expects members to act in accordance with the expressed standards of conduct, integrity and accountability in their personnel behaviour and professional activities. ICMRS also expects members to conduct, report and publish research work in rigorous and complete manners with high standard of scientific integrity. Members are expected to adhere to ICMRS policies maintaining the confidentiality of materials presented and reviewed. Members have an obligation to disclose any affiliation with, or financial involvement in, any organisation or entity with a direct interest in the subject matter or materials of researchers at the ICMRS related scientific meetings and webinars.

The Society has the responsibility to evaluate breaches of unacceptable behaviour and the authority to take the appropriate response in accordance with the ICMRS policies.
